Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”–but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?
James 2:15-16 NLT
Pastor Steve’s Translation:
Suppose you see a brother in need on the evening news, or in a newsletter and say “Isn’t that terrible” and yet do nothing to help?
What good does that do?
The average cost of a Thanksgiving meal for a family of 10 in 2010 was $43.47 according to USA Today. That figure is expected to rise for 2011. If you add tax, you have easily spent $50.00.
I would like to challenge you this year to donate an amount equivalent to that spent on your Thanksgiving Meal to help feed the people of Western Kenya. Some of you can and will do more but please consider showing your gratitude for God’s blessings this year by

Our “Forgotten Families” campaign was a huge success but it was not enough. The people are still without proper food and they need our help.
As you take time to thank God for your blessings this year, please consider a generous donation to help those who cannot help themselves.
Thank you for your generosity,
- Pastor Steve Jones
